We have uploaded several Planning and Transportation Commission (PTC) Study Session documents reviewing policies and programs of the Comprehensive Plan.  The City of Palo Alto is in the process of reviewing and updating the policies and programs of each element of the Comprehensive Plan.   The process of review will be conducted in two phases: 

The first phase of this process is to identify which of the existing policies and programs in each element of the Comprehensive Plan remain applicable and which need to be updated.  The PTC completed the first-phase review of the Land Use and Community Design and Housing Elements in December.  The PTC will complete the first-phase review of the Business and Economics Element and the Community Services and Facilities Element in January and February, and the remaining elements by Spring 2010. 

The second phase of this process is to modify existing policies and programs that require significant change, and to develop additional new policies and programs.  The PTC will begin the second phase by late Spring 2010.
