We just posted two new reports on the Comprehensive Plan Amendment website.  The first is the Fiscal Background Report and the second is the Retail Background Report.  Both of these are for use throughout the amendment process.  In particular, the Fiscal Background Report covers the fiscal impacts of different land uses in Palo Alto, and evaluates the City's budget.  This information will be helpful as the Comprehensive Plan Amendment looks at limited land use changes within the Concept Plan Areas (California Avenue and East Meadow Circle). 

The Retail Background Report looks at the different types of stores in Palo Alto, where the city has a competitive advantage, and where additional retail sales could be attracted to Palo Alto.  This information will also be used for the Concept Plan process and will guide updates to the goals and policies in the Comprehensive Plan's Business and Economics Element.
