Hello and welcome to the new Comprehensive Plan Amendment website.  The Amendment process is just getting under way with review of background materials and preparation of a series of white papers covering key issues.  The white papers will be reviewed by the Planning and Transportation Commission before they are completed. 

The first big opportunity for public involvement will be focused studies of two areas where change is more likely to happen before 2020.  These areas are the Fry's site, including California Avenue and the East Meadow/Fabian Way area.  We'll be preparing concept plans for these two areas starting early in 2009 and each will include an intensive series of public workshops.
